About the company

Ernst-B. Johansen A.S. has been designing and producing shock absorbers and passive heave compensating systems for offshore operations since 1983.  Today Cranemaster™ is a market leader for increasing lifting capacity and improving safety of offshore cranes.

In addition to our Cranemaster™ units, we also supply impulse dampers and provide solutions for special applications. We build custom designed units if our clients lifts need special consideration and function, and we welcome our clients to challenge us with new complicated tasks.

We work closely with our clients to develop new solutions, and to meet the increasingly complex demands from the offshore industry. As a result Cranemaster™ continues to go to greater water depths and lifting heavier loads as we follow our clients challenges.
